Week 3, Day 5: PRESENTATIONS!

This morning, the students did a test to see how their English has improved over the course of their time here at Queen's Gate.

After their hard work, they did some last minute preparations for the presentations. Their fabulous performances were done before lunch time as many of our students are only with us for the mornings.

Raquel's class did a lovely presentation about planets and things you would find in space. They all had a fantastic costume and gave the audience some lovely information about their chosen space subject.

They looked great and were really confident in delivering their facts. Everybody really enjoyed it!

Helena's class became Google for their presentation. When Helena typed in the name of a certain technology, the students arranged their letters and then they did a small presentation on the technology.

They provided us with great information about the first laptop and other technological innovations. We all learned something new!

Elisabete's class presented us with storyboards they created of a Fantastic Week using photographs taken throughout week 3.

They made some beautiful storyboard posters with great stories.

Jane's class presented both their avatars and their urban legends.

So many students won wristbands today for the great work we saw in the morning! So congratulations to everybody!

However, a special mention must go to Cengizhan and Francesco!

Cengizhan won an ORANGE wristband. He had asked DOS Kathy how he could win the highly sought after prize. She said that if he made her a coffee, he could obtain the wristband. The next morning, Cengizhan presented Kathy with a very well drawn cup of coffee!

Francesco was awarded a PURPLE wristband as he improved the most over the fortnight he was with us! We noticed such a positive change that we felt it deserved recognition! Well Done!

We said goodbye to some of our students and the rest of us spent the afternoon in Kensington Gardens. We had great fun playing lots of sports and taking full advantage of the great weather...

We played rounders...

We played football...

We did lots of relay races...

We finished our afternoon with a good old game of British Bulldog!

We had great fun!

We had such a fantastic week here at Queen's Gate! So many students left us on Friday; we will miss you all! For those returning next week, have a fabulous weekend!
