Our youngest students at the butterfly exhibition.

Today we visited the Natural History Museum. Unfortunately the students had to leave early due to an incident in the museum but the younger children enjoyed the butterfly exhibition.

Look but don't touch.

Some butterflies are really big and others are very small. They are all different bright colours and like the hot, humid tent.

Which ones did you see?

Look at this one...

How many butterflies are on this leaf?

One student found a catterpillar. Its very big and bright green. It was crawling up this plant. Can you spot it?

Cocoons. Some butterflies are hatching and we learnt that they have to wait for their sticky wings to dry before they are ready to fly.

Drawing our butterflies.

We learnt that butterflies like to eat oranges and banana.
